Our Team

Multilingual, Ph.D. Therapists in Houston and Online Across Texas—Covered by insurance

We are a team of doctorate-level psychologists who share a commitment to depth-oriented psychotherapy. Our clinicians come from diverse cultural and linguistic backgrounds and offer therapy in English, Spanish, Portuguese, and Farsi, in person at our Houston office and online anywhere in Texas. We work primarily with adults in individual therapy, and also see select teens and older children when clinically appropriate, as well as couples with clinicians who specialize in that work.

As a clinic and training site, our team works within a structure of supervision, case consultation, and ongoing study. Cases are discussed with care, and clinicians are supported in thinking deeply about their work. All clinicians are in network with Aetna, Blue Cross Blue Shield, Cigna, UnitedHealthcare/Optum, and Oscar.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

How do I choose the right therapist?
You can browse our clinicians by language, schedule, and the ages they work with. Each profile notes whether the psychologist is currently “Accepting New Clients” or on a “Waitlist.” If you prefer, you can also submit a contact form and our Clinical Director will recommend a clinician based on your concerns, availability, and preferences.

Do your psychologists offer therapy in Spanish or Portuguese?
Yes. We have clinicians who offer therapy in Spanish, Portuguese, and Farsi, as well as English. On the Team page you can filter by language and see which psychologists are currently accepting new clients.

What ages do your clinicians work with?
Our primary focus is individual therapy with adults. Some psychologists also see select teens and older children, and some offer specialized work with couples. Each clinician’s page lists the age ranges and populations they work with so you can see who might fit your needs.

What if my preferred therapist is on a waitlist?
You have a few options. You can join that psychologist’s waitlist, choose another clinician who is currently available, or schedule an initial session with an available psychologist to talk through fit, urgency, and next steps. Our goal is to make sure you are not left waiting without support.

Will I always see the same therapist?
Yes. Once you begin, you work with the same psychologist on an ongoing basis unless you decide together that a change would be helpful. If at any point the fit does not feel right, we will help you think about what you need and explore other options within the clinic or somewhere else.

Can I change therapists if it doesn’t feel like a good match?
Yes. Fit matters. You can talk about this directly with your current therapist, or reach out to our Clinical Director if that feels easier. We will take your concerns seriously and help you consider whether a change is needed and what might work better.

Why Choose Real Talk Clinical Psychology

Therapy with doctorate-level psychologists
At Real Talk, therapy is provided by Ph.D.-level psychologists who treat psychotherapy as disciplined clinical work. Our training is rooted in psychoanalytic, psychodynamic, and other depth-oriented approaches, and we continue to study, consult, and receive supervision so our work stays alive and thoughtful.

A clinical psychology clinic, not a therapy mill
Real Talk is a clinician-owned clinic in Houston, not a startup or a marketplace. Our team is stable, and cases are discussed with care. The focus is on steady therapeutic work that respects the complexity of people’s lives rather than quick solutions or scripts.

In-network and insurance-based
We work with insurance so that high-quality, depth-oriented therapy can be accessible to more people. Real Talk is in network with Aetna, Blue Cross Blue Shield, Cigna, UnitedHealthcare/Optum, and Oscar. Our administrative team verifies benefits and submits claims so you can focus on the work itself rather than the paperwork.

Online across Texas and in-person in Houston
Our psychologists see clients in a calm office near the Galleria area in Houston and via secure telehealth across Texas. Many clients appreciate having the option to meet in person when possible and online when distance, health, or schedule make that easier.

Therapy in English, Spanish, Portuguese, and Farsi
We are a multilingual, multicultural clinic. Clinicians bring their own languages, histories, and perspectives to the work, and we currently offer therapy in English, Spanish, Portuguese, and Farsi. Being able to speak about their life in the language that feels most natural makes the work more honest and precise.

A practice built around real attention
Real Talk Clinical Psychology was created to be a place where people can speak seriously about their lives and be met by clinicians who are equally serious about their craft. If you are looking for thoughtful, ongoing therapy with psychologists who take both expertise and care to heart, you are very welcome here—either in person in Houston or online anywhere in Texas.
