Real Talk Clinical Psychology is a psychotherapy clinic in Houston, Texas, dedicated to providing exceptional therapy for clients and unmatched support for clinicians.

Structure and Hours

The fellowship is a 12-month, full-time training program that includes 30 weekly hours of structured activities, plus around 6 additional hours of independent reading and study. This totals approximately 1,750 training hours across the year. Clinical hours build gradually and are capped at 25 clients per week to preserve time for reading, training, reflection, and self-care.

Rigorous and Specialized Training

 

• We intend to seek APA accreditation soon, and we operate as a fully APA-oriented fellowship, complying with all accreditation standards. You can find more details in our manual (download it here). 

• 2 hours/week of individual supervision + 2 hours/week of structured group didactics.

• Training emphasizes a humanistic orientation, integrating evidence-based practice. Didactics cover advanced topics in ethics, risk management, documentation, and the business of private practice.

• Clinical hours scale gradually and are capped at 25 clients/week to ensure sufficient time for reading, training, and self-care.

 

​​Requirements & Responsibilities

 

• Having completed a PhD or PsyD from an APA-accredited doctoral program and internship

• Provide 25 sessions/week

• Willingness to see children, adolescents, and adults

• Conduct in-person sessions in our Houston office at least 50% of the time

• Must be eligible for a provisional license in the state of Texas.
