Real Talk Clinical Psychology is an insurance-based group practice in Houston, Texas, dedicated to providing exceptional therapy for our clients and unmatched support for our clinicians.

It combines structured training with real-world practice in a professional and warm environment.

Track 1: 1099 Contractor

  • 50%-50% split, which translates into top-notch pay

Track 2: W2 Employee

Rigorous, Protected, and Specialized Training

 

  • We intend to seek APA accreditation soon, and we operate as a fully APA-oriented fellowship, complying with all accreditation standards. You can find more details in our manual (download it here). 

  • 2 hours/week of individual supervision + 2 hours/week of structured group didactics and case conferences.

  • Training emphasis on humanistic orientation plus evidence-based practice integration. Didactics cover advanced topics in ethics, risk management, documentation, and the business of private practice.

  • Clinical hours scale gradually and are capped at 25 clients/week to ensure sufficient time for reading, training, and self-care.

 

Clear Path to a Successful Career

 

We view this fellowship as a one-year interview process. Our goal is for you to stay and thrive as a fully licensed psychologist.

  • No Non-Compete: We empower our psychologists, not restrict them.

  • Seamless Transition: 70/30 split model with incentives, robust administrative and billing support. 

 

Requirements & Responsibilities

 

  • Having completed a PhD or PsyD from an APA/CPA-accredited (or equivalent) doctoral program and internship

  • Provide 25 sessions/week

  • Willingness to see children, adolescents, and adults

  • Conduct in-person sessions in the Houston office at least 50% of the time

  • Must be eligible for a Provisional License in the state of Texas.

Timeline

 

We hope to welcome two fellows immediately and begin accepting applications for our second cohort, which will start in September 2026.
