Real Talk Clinical Psychology is located near the Galleria area in Houston, close enough to be central while remaining removed from the pace of the city. The building sits on a quiet, tree-lined street with ample parking, allowing for a calmer transition before sessions begin. Inside, the offices are designed with care: natural light, warmth, and an environment meant to support focus and clinical work.

Many patients choose in-person therapy because being in the same room creates a particular kind of presence. That shared physical space can make it easier to stay with difficult thoughts, notice subtle shifts, and follow what emerges in real time.

We’re here when you’re ready.

Frequently Asked Questions

What services does Real Talk Clinical Psychology offer?
Real Talk provides depth-oriented individual therapy with Ph.D.-level psychologists, in person at our Houston office and online anywhere in Texas. People begin therapy with us for many reasons: anxiety, low mood, the effects of trauma, grief, burnout, relationship challenges, identity questions, and major life transitions.

Do you accept insurance?
Yes. We are in-network with Aetna, Blue Cross Blue Shield, Cigna, UnitedHealthcare/Optum, and Oscar. Before your first session, our team will verify your benefits and walk you through what your coverage includes.

How soon can I start therapy?
Our patients are offered a first appointment within a week. If you prefer a specific psychologist who is fully booked, we will let you know the wait time and provide immediate alternatives.

Do you work with children and teens?
Yes. Some of our psychologists have specialized training in child and adolescent therapy. We collaborate with caregivers while also preserving a young person’s privacy and independence in the therapeutic process.

Is therapy at Real Talk online or in person?
Patients can choose either format. We offer secure telehealth therapy across Texas and other states, as well as in-person therapy in our Houston office near the Galleria. Many patients move between formats depending on what best supports their focus and schedule.

What makes Real Talk different?
We are a multilingual, multicultural team of Ph.D.-level psychologists who see therapy as disciplined clinical work. We provide culturally responsive care in English, Spanish, Portuguese, and Farsi. We support people navigating complex emotional histories, LGBTQ+ identities, nontraditional relationships, cross-cultural questions, crises, and experiences that require long-term, highly specialized clinical attention.

Do you offer short-term therapy?
We do not follow preset brief models. Some people work with us for a shorter period, while others remain in therapy longer as the work develops. The length of treatment depends on the person and the questions they bring.

How do I get started?
Fill out our brief contact form or call our office. Our clinical director will review your inquiry and help match you with the best clinician for your needs. Once the intake paperwork is sent and completed, we will verify your insurance and prepare everything for your first session.

How do I know which therapist is right for me?
Reach out and let us help. Our clinical director can match you with someone who fits your needs. You will not be left guessing.

Do you provide psychological testing, evaluations, or legal documents?
No. We focus on therapy only. We do not complete evaluations for school, work, disability, immigration, or court, and we do not write legal or medical documents. If you need these services, we can point you toward clinics that specialize in them.

Do you prescribe medication?
No. Real Talk therapists do not prescribe medication or manage medication. If you need psychiatric care, we can help you find a provider who offers that service.

What if I need immediate help?
If you are experiencing a crisis or have immediate safety concerns, therapy is not the right first step. Please call 988 or go to the nearest emergency room. Once you are safe, we can help you think about ongoing care.

Can I get a same-week therapy appointment in Houston?
Yes, we have openings within the week. If the perfect clinician for you is unavailable, we will still offer you a first session with another licensed psychologist from our team within a week to discuss fit and next steps.

Do you offer evening or morning appointments?
Yes, Real Talk offers early morning and evening appointments.

Is online therapy in Texas the same as in-person therapy?
Yes. Online therapy is offered by licensed psychologists in Texas, and our clinicians provide the same quality of care virtually as they do in person. Many clients choose online sessions for convenience, flexibility, and privacy.

Can I switch therapists later?
Yes. If at any point you feel you need a different match, we will help you transition to someone who better fits your goals. You will never be left figuring it out on your own.
