Dr. David has worked in psychology for more than twenty years, mostly in settings where people are confronting extreme realities: medical illness, aging, loss, or questions about identity.
Much of his clinical experience has been with adults facing the emotional impact of health challenges, including chronic illness and long-term recovery. He also works extensively with sexual health and with clients in kink, polyamory, and non-monogamous relationships. Many of his patients are men, LGBTQ+ or not, trying to understand themselves in the middle of changes that affect how they see their relationships, bodies, and roles.
Before joining Real Talk, Dr. David spent many years in academic medicine, the VA system, and integrated behavioral health settings, a type of work that requires discipline and a strong clinical foundation. Alongside it, he developed a deep interest in Jungian and Buddhist perspectives, which influence how he thinks about suffering, resilience, and meaning. The combination of medical rigor and reflective inner work gives his clinical style many layers and depth. He listens closely but also offers practical tools when they are useful.
