Dr. Adriane has worked in clinical psychology for more than twenty years, across different countries and levels of care. Much of her career has been with people carrying experiences that are hard to name, such as the lingering effects of trauma or the loss of meaning that can accompany psychological crises. She pays close attention to what is said and also to what feels difficult to say. For her, clinical work is not about moving quickly. It is about staying with what has been avoided or misunderstood long enough for it to be worked through.

Psychoanalysis has shaped Dr. Adriane’s thinking in a central way. She is steady and direct, and listens more than she speaks during sessions. Having lived in Brazil, Ecuador, Portugal, and the United States, she understands how language and culture shape a person’s world and what it is like to move between identities.

As the Clinical Director of Real Talk, she supervises the team, leads the postdoctoral fellowship, and maintains a clinic centered on rigorous clinical work.
