Lorena Davis, M.S., M.Ed., LPC
Born and raised in Buenos Aires, Argentina. Psychologist, Professor in Psychology, Psychoanalyst. As a Clinical Psychologist, she worked for over 10 years in various Institutions in Argentina and in her private practice. Her experience in Argentina includes, among other institutions, working at the National Department of Family and Protective Services and at the Public Childhood and Adolescence Mental Health Hospital of the City of Buenos Aires helping a very vulnerable population.
She did postgraduate studies in different areas in the field of Psychology at the University of Buenos Aires and in Psychoanalysis at the School of Lacanian Orientation in Buenos Aires. As a Professor in Psychology she taught the subject of emergency in psychology at the University of Buenos Aires for 13 years, and trained practitioners psychologists and psychiatrists at different hospitals of the City of Buenos Aires. She also participated in many researches projects, has several publications and gave lectures at many Conferences and Congress along the years.
She arrived to Houston in 2016, and began the process of acquiring her License as a Professional Counselor. She is a member of the Lacanian Compass Group since 2018, and for the past three years she has worked at the Houston Area Women Center as a Professional Counselor assisting children, adolescents and adults survivors of domestic violence.
