In-Person
In-Person Therapy in Houston, TX, Near the Galleria

Some clinical conversations proceed differently in a shared room. The patient leaves home and enters a separate space. Silence, pauses, and physical presence alter what surfaces and what becomes sayable, and many patients find that the effort of arriving is itself part of the work.
In-person therapy in Houston at Real Talk takes place at 7670 Woodway Drive, Suite 270, between the Galleria and Memorial, on a quiet, tree-lined street with free parking and no through traffic. We see patients from Tanglewood, Briargrove, Uptown, Memorial, Bellaire, West University, and across the city.
The clinical approach is the same in person as online: depth-oriented, concerned with what sustains a symptom rather than only with its presentation, and drawing on structured methods where indicated. What differs in person is the register. Some patients can remain with difficult material longer in the presence of another person. Some find that a standing appointment outside the home anchors the week. Some prefer it, and preference is sufficient.
Many patients combine formats, attending in person most weeks and online when travel or illness requires. Continuity with a single clinician is what matters.
Why Choose In-Person Therapy
The relief of leaving home to speak. Silence that is more legible in a shared room. A regular appointment the household cannot interrupt. For some, a more natural connection with the clinician than a screen permits. None of this is universal, and we do not claim that in-person work is superior in general. We offer it for those for whom it is.
What We Pay Attention To
We pay attention to what the room makes possible: the pauses, what is said at the door, the difference between a patient who fills silence and one who can remain in it. We also attend to whether the format is serving the treatment, and we say so if a change would help.
Our clinical director reads every inquiry and recommends a clinician within minutes on weekdays, hours on weekends.
