Shun Compton, Doctoral Student
Shun Compton is a doctoral student working towards his degree in Clinical Psychology. He received his master’s degree from Walden University in Clinical Psychology. He completed coursework towards board certification at the University of North Texas and is currently a licensed behavior analyst. He is passionate and committed to providing a transformative experience during the journey towards healing.
Shun has worked with children, adults, and families experiencing the challenges of autism, anxiety, depression, and other interpersonal difficulties affecting their daily lives. He is interested in working with couples and families to help promote awareness and encourage better relationships. His style of approach is to meet you where you are and help get you back in the driver’s seat of your life.
His goal as a therapist is to create a space of safety, trust, and empowerment within families and other social relationships. He is influenced by behaviorism, multiculturalism, and some psychoanalytic approaches and will receive more training under the supervision of Dr. Adriane Barroso.
