Micah Rees, Ph.D., LP

Dr. Micah Rees works with a broad spectrum of psychological diagnoses and common life problems and will help you to better understand the blind spots and barriers that are getting in your way. One of his major goals in therapy is to empower you to take charge of your life and live it with greater confidence and meaning.

Dr. Rees also works with individuals experiencing existential crises. Although not often talked about, existential anxiety can show up out of the blue or follow difficult life experiences like divorce, the death of a loved one, strained relationships, major career problems, and changes in religious beliefs. He works very well with those who are dealing with trauma, sexual abuse, and abusive/controlling relationships.

As a clinician, Dr. Rees sees his clients as developing rather than defective; he creates genuine relationships with his clients; and he seeks to understand rather than to interpret his client’s experience.  He is always trying to be aware of the effects of power, privilege, and inequality in his work and will work hard to provide you the safety necessary for successful therapy.
