Immediate Openings
one of the offices of Real Talk

Real Talk Clinical Psychology is located near the Galleria area in Houston, close enough to be central while remaining removed from the pace of the city. The building sits on a quiet, tree-lined street with ample parking and no through traffic, allowing for a calmer transition before sessions begin. Inside, the offices are designed with care: natural light, warmth, and an environment meant to support focus and clinical work.

Many patients choose in-person therapy because being in the same room creates a particular kind of presence. That shared physical space can make it easier to stay with difficult thoughts, notice subtle shifts, and follow what emerges in real time.

We’re here when you’re ready.

What services does Real Talk Clinical Psychology offer?
Real Talk provides depth-oriented therapy with Ph.D.-level psychologists, in person at our Houston office and online anywhere in Texas. People begin therapy with us for many reasons: anxiety, low mood, the effects of trauma, grief, burnout, relationship challenges, identity questions, and major life transitions. We treat them as starting points for serious, deep therapeutic work.

Do you accept insurance?
Yes. We are in-network with Aetna, Blue Cross Blue Shield, Cigna, UnitedHealthcare/Optum, and Oscar. As soon as you complete your intake paperwork, our team will verify your benefits and walk you through what your coverage includes, how much each session would cost, if anything, and allow you to make an informed decision before your first session.

How soon can I start therapy?
You'll receive a response from our clinical team within minutes on weekdays, and you'll be offered your first session with a licensed psychologist within one week. If you prefer a specific therapist who's fully booked, we'll provide immediate alternatives based on your needs and availability.

Do you work with children, teens, and couples?
Yes. Some of our psychologists have specialized training in child and adolescent therapy, while others specialize in couples and family therapy.

Is therapy at Real Talk online or in person?

Therapy at Real Talk can be online, in person, or a combination of both. We offer secure telehealth therapy across Texas and other states, as well as in-person sessions at our Houston office near the Galleria area. Some patients prefer to stay in one format, while others move between online and in-person sessions as their needs and schedules shift.

What makes Real Talk different?
We are an insurance-based, multilingual, multicultural team of Ph.D.-level psychologists who see therapy as disciplined clinical work. We provide culturally responsive care in English, Spanish, Portuguese, and Farsi. We support people navigating complex emotional histories, LGBTQ+ identities, nontraditional relationships, cross-cultural questions, crises, and experiences that require long-term, highly specialized clinical attention.

How do I get started?
Fill out our brief contact form or call our office. Our clinical director will review your inquiry and help match you with the best clinician for your needs. Once the intake paperwork is complete, we will verify your insurance and prepare everything for your first session.

How do I know which therapist is right for me?

Reach out and let us help. Our clinical director personally reviews every new inquiry and matches you with the clinician who best fits your needs: no algorithms or automated systems, just personalized clinical judgment. You won't be left guessing.

Do you provide psychological testing, evaluations, or legal documents?
No. We focus on therapy only. We do not complete evaluations for school, work, disability, immigration, or court, and we do not write legal or medical documents. If you need these services, we can point you toward clinics that specialize in them.

Do you prescribe medication?
No. Real Talk therapists do not prescribe medication or manage medication. If you need psychiatric care, we can help you find a provider who offers that service.

What if I need immediate help?
If you are experiencing an ongoing crisis or have immediate safety concerns, therapy is not the right first step. Please call 988 or go to the nearest emergency room. Once you are safe, we can help you think about ongoing care.

Can I get a same-week therapy appointment in Houston?
Yes, we always have openings within the week. We'll always offer you a first session with a licensed psychologist from our team within a week.

Do you offer evening or morning appointments?
Yes, Real Talk offers early-morning and evening appointments, both online and in person.

Is online therapy in Texas the same as in-person therapy?
Yes. Online therapy is offered by the same team of licensed psychologists in Texas, and our clinicians provide the same quality of care virtually as they do in person. Many patients choose online sessions for convenience, flexibility, and privacy.

Can I switch therapists later?

Yes. If at any point you feel you need a different match, we will help you transition to someone who better fits your goals. This is a routine part of clinical care, and you will not be left to figure it out on your own.
