Dr. Kimberly Smoots is a psychologist whose clinical work focuses on children and adolescents, with additional experience supporting adults navigating trauma and major life transitions. Her training in school psychology informs a developmentally grounded approach to emotional, behavioral, and relational difficulties.

She works with patients experiencing anxiety, mood symptoms, trauma-related difficulties, and behavioral concerns, particularly when these challenges are connected to family dynamics, school settings, or developmental differences. Her work often involves helping patients and families understand patterns over time and strengthening emotional regulation and relational stability.

Dr. Kim has extensive experience with ADHD, autism spectrum, and intellectual disabilities. She also works closely with caregivers seeking support around parenting, consistency, and relational repair, especially when stress, burnout, or communication breakdowns are present. In addition, she provides individual therapy for adults related to trauma recovery, identity development, and life transitions.

She provides therapy in English and Spanish and offers services in Houston and across Texas, both in person and via telehealth.
